Harald Stampa studied guitar with Hans Graef and Oscar Ghiglia. He recorded two solo CDs “Choix de mes fleurs cheries” (1997) and “Danzas Argentinas” (2003 Naxos CD of the month march) and a CD with chambermusic and solo guitar by Frank Martin (2009). As a soloist, he performed with Basler Sinfonieorchester and with Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich. 2006 he gave concerts and masterclasses in Santiago de Chile. Always in search of new sounds Stampa has a passion for unknown composers and transkriptions.
His latest projects are the guitar sextet “Guitarra a Seis” and recordings for a new solo CD with works by Giulio Regondi and Robert Schumann. H. Stampa is a guitar teacher at Kantonsschule Baden in Switzerland.
